Collaborative Family Law
A new trend in settling family law issues is Collaborative Family Law. This is simply the process of resolving issues with the advice and assistance of lawyers, without going to court.
In this process, all parties sign a contract and agree not to go to court. This leads to a "buy-in" in the process by all parties, including the lawyers as they can only work on the file within the collaborative process. If the process does not work, then both lawyers are prohibited from representing the clients in the court process.
A couple of benefits to this process are the cost savings versus going to court, and the control clients have in controlling their outcome.
I would be pleased to forward information or speak by phone if you have any questions.
